Gay Sex forces closure of Store Toilets
Wow, with a headline like that, something big must have happened, right? Let’s have a look..
Hmm, nothing in that article seems to be overly newsworthy, unless you count the over-sensationalisation of a rather minor story by someone who’s obviously got a deep bias against the gay community.
I especially like the bit where the writer brings children into the story, just to implant the idea that there are pedophiles lurking in these toilets waiting for a kid to enter. [sarcasm]
I’ve actually been to these particular toilets a couple of times, most memorably when I had a slight case of chicken-wrap food poisoning last year – but i’ve never noticed ANY ‘action’ going on. (Or maybe the person that reported it actually got their proposition turned down, and then decided to get even?)
I daresay that if there IS anything happening, may it perhaps be some so-called ’straight’ (married?) men looking for a bit of lunchtime action?.. Not that they’re gay or anything, I wouldn’t dream of suggesting that.
Meanwhile, Squirt.org has been around for YEARS. And if we’re looking at Sydney, it basically lists every public space, toilet, washroom and park.
That’s not to say that nothing goes on at any of these places, but I rather doubt it could be classed as ‘rampant’ by any stretch of the imagination.
